George B. Kuykendall reminiscences, 1855-1882.

Reminiscences chiefly compiled from memory, probably written after Kuykendall's retirement in 1920. Subjects include his work with Yakama Indians, medical trips outside the reservation, interesting medical cases, Indian folklore, legends, and superstition, Indian women, childhood memories of life in Douglas County, Ore., and trip from Fort Simcoe to Pomeroy, Wash., in 1882. Kuykendall is generally critical of the U.S. government's policy towards the Indians.
